Rihanna, Kanye West, Paul McCartney – FourFiveSecond

Rihanna “Four Five Seconds” lyrics

[Verse 1: Rihanna]
I think I’ve had enough, I might get a little drunk
I say what’s on my mind, I might do a little time
Cause all of my kindness, is taken for weakness

[Hook: Rihanna]
Now I’m Four Five Seconds from wildin’
And we got three more days ’til Friday
I’m just tryna make it back home by Monday, mornin’
I swear I wish somebody would tell me
Ooh thats all I want

[Kanye West]
Woke up an optimist, sun was shining I’m positive
Then I heard you was talkin’ trash
Hold me back I’m bout’ to spaz

[Hook]
Now I’m Four Five Seconds from wildin’
And we got three more days ’til Friday
I’m just tryna make it back home by Monday, mornin’
I swear I wish somebody would tell me
Ooh thats all I want

[Bridge]
And I know that you’re up tonight
Thinkin’ how could I be so selfish
But you called bout a thousand times wondering where I been
Now I know that your up tonight
Thinkin’ how could I be so reckless
But I just can’t apologize, I hope you can understand

[Kanye West]
If I go to jail tonight, promise you’ll pay my bail
See they want to buy my pride, but that just ain’t up for sale
See all of my kindness, is taken for weakness

[Hook]
Now I’m Four Five Seconds from wildin’
And we got three more days ’til Friday
I’m just tryna make it back home by Monday, mornin’
I swear I wish somebody would tell me
Ooh thats all I want

Now I’m Four Five Seconds from wildin’
And we got three more days ’til Friday
I’m just tryna make it back home by Monday, mornin’
I swear I wish somebody would tell me
Ooh thats all I want

Hozier – Take Me To Church

“Take Me To Church”

My lover’s got humour
She’s the giggle at a funeral
Knows everybody’s disapproval
I should’ve worshipped her sooner

If the heavens ever did speak
She’s the last true mouthpiece
Every Sunday’s getting more bleak
A fresh poison each week

“We were born sick,” you heard them say it

My church offers no absolutes
She tells me, “Worship in the bedroom.”
The only heaven I’ll be sent to
Is when I’m alone with you

I was born sick
But I love it
Command me to be well
Aaay. Amen. Amen. Amen.

[Chorus 2x:]
Take me to church
I’ll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies
I’ll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife
Offer me that deathless death
Good God, let me give you my life

If I’m a pagan of the good times
My lover’s the sunlight
To keep the Goddess on my side
She demands a sacrifice

Drain the whole sea
Get something shiny
Something meaty for the main course
That’s a fine-looking high horse
What you got in the stable?
We’ve a lot of starving faithful

That looks tasty
That looks plenty
This is hungry work

[Chorus 2x:]
Take me to church
I’ll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies
I’ll tell you my sins so you can sharpen your knife
Offer me my deathless death
Good God, let me give you my life

No Masters or Kings
When the Ritual begins
There is no sweeter innocence than our gentle sin

In the madness and soil of that sad earthly scene
Only then I am human
Only then I am clean
Ooh oh. Amen. Amen. Amen.

[Chorus 2x:]
Take me to church
I’ll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies
I’ll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife
Offer me that deathless death
Good God, let me give you my life

Jess Glynne – Take Me Home

“Take Me Home”

Wrapped up, so consumed by all this hurt
If you ask me, don’t know where to start
Anger, love, confusion
Roads that go nowhere
I know that somewhere better
‘Cause you always take me there

Came to you with a broken faith
Gave me more than a hand to hold
Caught before I hit the ground
Tell me I’m safe, you’ve got me now

Would you take the wheel
If I lose control?
If I’m lying here
Will you take me home?

Could you take care of a broken soul?
Will you hold me now?
Oh, will you take me home?
Oh, will you take me home?
Oh, will you take me home?
Oh, will you take me home?
Oh, will you take me home?

Hold the gun to my head, count 1, 2, 3
If it helps me walk away then it’s what I need
Every minute gets easier
The more you talk to me
You rationalize my darkest thoughts
Yeah, you set them free

Came to you with a broken faith
Gave me more than a hand to hold
Caught before I hit the ground
Tell me I’m safe, you’ve got me now

Would you take the wheel
If I lose control?
If I’m lying here
Will you take me home?

Could you take care of a broken soul?
Oh, will you hold me now?
Oh, will you take me home?
Oh, will you take me home?
Oh, will you take me home?
Oh, will you take me home?

[3x]
You say space will make it better
And time will make it heal
I won’t be lost forever
And soon I wouldn’t feel
Like I’m haunted, oh, falling

Would you take the wheel
If I lose control?
If I’m lying here
Will you take me home?

Could you take care of a broken soul?
Oh, will you hold me now?
Oh, will you take me home?
Oh, will you take me home?
Oh, will you take me home?
Oh, will you take me home?
Oh, will you take me home, home?
Oh, will you take me home?
Oh, will you take me home?

Lukas Graham – Mama Said

“Mama Said”

When Mama said that it was okay
Mama said that it was quite alright
Our kind of people had a bed for the night
And it was ok
Mama told us we are good kids
And daddy told us never listen to the ones
Pointing nasty fingers and making fun
‘Cause we were good kidsRemember asking both my mom and dad
Why we never traveled to exotic lands
We only ever really visit friends
Nothing to tell when the summer ends
We never really went buying clothes
Folks were passing on this stuff plenty loads
New shoes once a year and then
Out to play ball so we could ruin them

When mama said that it was okay
Mama said that it was quite alright
Our kind of people had a bed for the night
And it was ok
Mama told us we were good kids
And daddy told us never listen to the ones
Pointing nasty fingers and making fun
‘Cause we were good kids

Don’t get me wrong I didn’t have it bad
I got enough loving from my mom and dad
But I don’t think they really understood
When I said that I wanted the deal in Hollywood
I told them I’ll be singing on TV
The other kids were calling me a wannabe
The older kids they started bugging me
But now they all standing right in front of me

When mama said that it was okay
Mama said that it was quite alright
Our kind of people had a bed for the night
And it was ok
Mama told us we were good kids
And daddy told us never listen to the ones
Pointing nasty fingers and making fun
‘Cause we were good kids

I know which place I’m from
I know my home
When I’m in doubt and struggling
That’s where I go
An old friend can give advice
When new friends only know a half story
That’s why I’m always keep them tight
And why I’m okay
…I said I’m OK
You know what my mama said
You know what she told me

My mama said that it was ok
Mama said that it was quite alright
Our kind of people had a bed for the night
And it was ok
Mama said that we were good kids
And daddy told us never listen to the ones
Pointing nasty fingers and making fun
‘Cause we were good kids

Mama said that it was okay
Mama said that it was okay
When mama said that it was okay

Lukas Graham – 7 Years

“7 Years”

Once I was seven years old my mama told me
Go make yourself some friends or you’ll be lonely
Once I was seven years oldIt was a big big world, but we thought we were bigger
Pushing each other to the limits, we were learning quicker
By eleven smoking herb and drinking burning liquor
Never rich so we were out to make that steady figureOnce I was eleven years old my daddy told me
Go get yourself a wife or you’ll be lonely
Once I was eleven years oldI always had that dream like my daddy before me
So I started writing songs, I started writing stories
Something about that glory, just always seemed to bore me
Cause only those I really love will ever really know me

Once I was 20 years old, my story got told
Before the morning sun, when life was lonely
Once I was 20 years old

I only see my goals, I don’t believe in failure
Cause I know the smallest voices, they can make it major
I got my boys with me at least those in favor
And if we don’t meet before I leave, I hope I’ll see you later

Once I was 20 years old, my story got told
I was writing about everything, I saw before me
Once I was 20 years old

Soon we’ll be 30 years old, our songs have been sold
We’ve traveled around the world and we’re still roaming
Soon we’ll be 30 years old

I’m still learning about life
My woman brought children for me
So I can sing them all my songs
And I can tell them stories
Most of my boys are with me
Some are still out seeking glory
And some I had to leave behind
My brother I’m still sorry

Soon I’ll be 60 years old, my daddy got 61
Remember life and then your life becomes a better one
I made a man so happy when I wrote a letter once
I hope my children come and visit, once or twice a month

Soon I’ll be 60 years old, will I think the world is cold
Or will I have a lot of children who can warm me
Soon I’ll be 60 years old
Soon I’ll be 60 years old, will I think the world is cold
Or will I have a lot of children who can warm me
Soon I’ll be 60 years old

Once I was seven years old, my mama told me
Go make yourself some friends or you’ll be lonely
Once I was seven years old

Once I was seven years old

Sampha – Without

[Verse 1]

See, I don’t wanna say you’ve got me

See, I don’t wanna say you’ve got me

I’m just glad that you’re here

Here, here, here and you’re here

I see mountains and mountains are close

So I’m searching here, I’m searching for love

Only good it’s not into

The only good it’s not unfair

Yeah, yeah

[Bridge]

Just say it, say it, say it, say it , say it

See we don’t have to go, we don’t have to go

Without, without, without without

Just say it, say it, say it, say it, say it

Won’t you say?

[Verse 2]

Well I’m far from perfect

I see the pictures that you take

The darkness in your days don’t change

They don’t change

But I’m saying, saying, saying

Won’t you stay?

You need somebody

That comes along to say

That you are going to be OK, OK, OK, OK

Well I’ll say, say, say, say, it

I can’t stay forever

But if this would go straight

I conquered the catastrophe

[Outro]

Without you, without you without you

Without you, with out you, with out you

So just say it

Just say

That we don’t have to go

We don’t have to go with out, without

I’ll say it, say it, say it

I’ll say it, I’ll say it

Robin Thicke Ft. T.I. & Pharrell – Blurred Lines Lyrics

[Intro:]
Everybody get up
Everybody get up
Hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey

[Robin Thicke:]
If you can’t hear what I’m trying to say
If you can’t read from the same page
Maybe I’m going death, maybe I’m going blind
Maybe I’m out of my mind

[Pre-chorus:]
Ok now he was close, tried to domesticate you
But you’re an animal, baby it’s in your nature
Just let me liberate you
Hey, hey, hey
You don’t need no papers
Hey, hey, hey
Than man is not your maker

[Chorus:]
And that’s why I’m gon’ take a good girl,
I know you want it
I know you want it
I know you want it
You’re a good girl
Can’t let it get passed me
You’re far from plastic
Talk about getting blasting
I hate these blurred lines
I know you want it
I know you want it
I know you want it
But you’re a good girl
The way you grab me
Must wanna get nasty
Go ahead, get at me

[Verse 2: Robin Thicke]
What do they make dreams on
When you got them jeans on
What do feelings … from
You the hottest b*tch in this place

Robin Thicke
I feel so lucky, you wanna hug me
Hey, hey, hey
What rhymes with hug me?
Hey, hey, hey

[Pre-chorus:]
Ok now he was close, tried to domesticate you
But you’re an animal, baby it’s in your nature
Just let me liberate you
Hey, hey, hey
You don’t need no papers
Hey, hey, hey
Than man is not your maker
Hey, hey, hey

[Chorus:]
And that’s why I’m gon’ take a good girl,
I know you want it
I know you want it
I know you want it
You’re a good girl
Can’t let it get passed me
You’re far from plastic
Talk about getting blasting
I hate these blurred lines
I know you want it
I hate them lines
I know you want it
I hate them lines
I know you want it
But you’re a good girl
The way you grab me
Must wanna get nasty
Go ahead, get at me

[Verse 3: T.I.]
One thing I ask you
Let me be there when you … that ass too
Yo, from Malibu, to Paribu
Yeah, had a big machine daddy
So hit me up when you pass through
I’ll give you something big enough to take your ass too
Swag on, when when you dress casual
I mean it’s not most unbearable
Then, honey you’re not there when I’m
With my foresight b*tch you pay me by
Nothing like your leg, I ain’t too square for you
I’ll smack that ass and pull your hair like that
So I jail watch, hand wave for you to salute
But you didn’t pick
Not many women get a …
But I’m a nice guy, but you get it if you get with me

[Robin Thicke:]
Shake the vibe, get down, get up,
Do it like it hurt, like it hurt
Watcha doing like word

Baby can you breathe? I got this from Jamaica
It always works for me Dakota to Dakata, uh huh
No more pretending,
Hey, hey, hey
Cause now you winning
Hey, hey, hey
Here’s our beginning

[Chorus:]
I always wanted a good girl,
I know you want it
I know you want it
I know you want it
You’re a good girl
Can’t let it get passed me
You’re far from plastic
Talk about getting blasting
I hate these blurred lines
I know you want it
I know you want it
I know you want it
But you’re a good girl
The way you grab me
Must wanna get nasty
Go ahead, get at me

Everybody get up
Everybody get up
Hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey

Bill Withers – Ain’t No Sunshine

Bill Withers in 1971, playing “Ain’t No Sunshine”

Lyrics :

Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
It’s not warm when she’s away
Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
And she’s always gone too long
Anytime she goes away

Wonder this time where she’s gone
Wonder if she’s gone to stay
Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
And this house just ain’t no home
Anytime she goes away

And I know, I know, I know, I know,
I know, I know, I know, I know, I know,
I know, I know, I know, I know, I know,
I know, I know, I know, I know, I know,
I know, I know, I know, I know, I know,
I know, I know,
Hey, I oughtta leave young thing alone
But ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone

Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
Only darkness every day
Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
And this house just ain’t no home
Anytime she goes away
Anytime she goes away
Anytime she goes away
Anytime she goes away

bill withers Aint No Sunshine

Biography :

Young Withers :
His songs speak for themselves. “Ain’t No Sunshine,” became a signature theme for American Idol champion Kris Allen who performed it on the show’s 2009 season finale while Britain’s Got Talent competitor Shaun Smith’s rendition of the song propelled Withers’ 1971 original back onto the UK charts. Mary J. Blige‘s version of “Lean on Me” echoed in Washington D.C.’s Lincoln Memorial at the “We Are One” pre-inaugural festivities for president Barack Obama, just as Withers’ words had similarly honored president Bill Clinton. Commercial uses, including the Gap Khaki Soul campaign featuring “Lovely Day,” match the music to new markets. Jimmy Buffett’s License to Chill included two new Withers’ songs; Vanessa Williams covered Bill’s “Hello Like Before” on her latest Concord Records’ release; George Benson and Lalah Hathaway’s duet on “Telephone Call Away” revealed a newly-penned Withers song for Benson’s Songs and Stories; and in 2011, the lead single of Jill Scott’s The Original Jill Scott from the Vault, Vol. 1 is a cover of Withers’ “Lovely Day” produced by DJ Jazzy Jeff.

Mustang Sally – Wilson Picket – Groove Therapy (cover)

Groove Therapy (Funkiest Band in Florida) live, performing the R & B classic made famous by Wilson Pickett “Mustang Sally”.

Groove Therapy is an Orlando based Dance – R & B – Funk band made up of seasoned music industry professionals performing music for Conventions, Weddings, Special Events, Bars and Clubs.

Although originally written (and recorded) by Mack Rice, Mustang Sally gained greater popularity when recorded by Wilson Pickett.

According to music historian Tom Shannon the song started as a joke when singer Della Reese wanted a new Ford Mustang. Rice called the early version “Mustang Mama”, but changed the title after Aretha Franklin suggested “Mustang Sally”.

While a stable of bands nearly everywhere, Mustang Sally has also been performed by: BB King, Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, Jeff Beck, Funkhouse, John Lee Hooker, Los Lobos, Coasters and the Young Rascals covered it with the title ‘Brand New Mustang’.

This is the Groove Therapy ‘version’ of the venerable classic: ‘Mustang Sally’! “Ride – Sally – Ride”
